Nothing like Sunday afternoon naps...

Sunday, December 20, 2009

Man...I can't think of the last time I took a Sunday afternoon nap and woke up with nothing pressing on my agenda...and today, it happened. It was great!

Kinda funny how busy we get and we don't realize how tired we are until we actually sit down for a few minutes. It was so nice to go to church this morning, go to lunch with friends, and then come home and take a nap. Everytime I have been home this semester, I leave on Sunday afternoons and I just kept saying I just wanna spend one Sunday at home haha I got my wish today!

Tonight was the All church Christmas Party....I ate more dessert than I should have but it was delicious :)
Went and
played some basketball tonight, and man- it's been Wayyyyyy to long since I've been running. It was fun though. I am pretty tired but I had a great weekend! I enjoyed a day of shopping and a pedicure with my Mom...I must say- there is NOTHING like shopping and laughing with your mom! Matthew came to see me for a few hours on Friday night and I went to a Christmas party at Dave and Deanne's house and then onto the movies to see the Blindside. Um, I needed a whole box of tissues for that one. It was great!

I put a few pictures up from the weekend, but for the first weekend home, it was nice to take a big deep breath and just enjoy being with the people I love. I especially can say I am so thankful for the Vero Beach First Nazarene Family that we have....even though things change more and more everytime I come home, the support and love that they show to my parents and to me, is something that I'm not sure who I'd be without it.

Crazy how fast this time of year flys by...trying to take everything in and not take a single second for granted. Some many times we forget why we do what we do, and we forget when it first became real in our lives.
I'll leave with a quote from a song I haven't been able to get off my mind....

"I wanna go back to when I fell in love with grace....back to the place where I first called Jesus name."
